Technology Integrator of the 3rd Marking Period
Congratulations to Mrs. Charae Perry for being chosen as Technology Integrator of the 3rd Marking Period at Powell School.
Mrs. Charae Perry is always including the use of technology in all of her lessons. The students in her class are very excited about learning because she adds the excitement of technology. Below is the description of four very exciting projects.Mrs. Perry worked with her students for Read Across America Day by performing this poetry that day with a classroom at Catto School by using Skype for communication and the use of the Whiteboard and computer in the Computer Lab.
On her next project, she had each of her students do research on one of the states. They had to showcase their work by creating a PowerPoint presentation. On the chosen day, Mrs. Perry allowed the students to present their presentations using a laptop computer and the projector. The students really learned a lot from this type of work.
Another project Ms. Perry worked on was a science project where students researched sea animals using Encyclopedia Britannica. They created aquariums using the information found and printed pictures from Google Images on the internet to place in aquariums.
The last project she did with her class involved the students creating brochures in Microsoft Office Publisher that involved information about Fire Safety. The students
